Meet the team

Here's what our masthead would look like if we were a newspaper. We're a small team of journalists and a network of freelance journalists managed by InOldNews, a media development organization. Here is our core team:

Manon Verchot

Manon is a multimedia journalist and co-founder of InOldNews, the organization that runs Neighbird. She formerly headed video at Mongabay, Hindustan Times and Mint. She wears many hats, having worked as a reporter, manager, editor, producer, and trainer.

Sanshey Biswas

Sanshey Biswas is the co-founder of In Old News. He has a decade of experience in helping journalists and newsrooms pivot to the next big thing while putting the audience first.

Shuchita Jha

Shuchita Jha is a journalist based in India with over ten years of experience. Her stories focus on the interconnectedness of climate change, energy transition, and human rights.
