We don't fully know why birds are especially vocal first thing in the morning

Researchers don’t really know why birds sing a lot first thing in the morning. But they have theories.

One theory is that birds sing in the early morning because it’s too dark for birds to be out looking for food. Another theory is that birds like to warm up for the day through song.

But a new study suggests that the answer may be more complicated than any of these previous theories.
